Canada’s Drag Race shocked fans after posting that the ‘crown is up for grabs’ in a now-deleted tweet amid serious concerns for Queen Elizabeth II.

The Queen is currently under medical supervision at Balmoral, with the royal family, including the future king the Prince of Wales, by her side.

Other family members are rushing to Aberdeen to join her majesty.

In a case of severely unfortunate timing, the official Canada’s Drag Race Twitter account reminded followers that the final episode of season three airs today and will see one contestant crowned the winner.

The post made reference to the fact the triumphant drag queen will be awarded the crown, which is typical in all series and spin-offs from the Drag Race franchise.

‘HAPPY #CanadasDragRace FINALE DAY,’ it read. ‘This crown is up for grabs… who is going to take it home?’

Naturally, fans were taken aback by the post and rushed to point out that it was inappropriate.

‘LOL YIKES’, wrote one, while another added: ‘NOT THIS HAHAHAHAHAHA.’

‘Perfect timing, folks!! Never change!!!’ said a third.
