Mark Hamill is chomping at the bit to get back to discussing the Don’t Worry Darling drama from earlier this week, days after the death of Queen Elizabeth II.
The Star Wars icon was, like the rest of us, clearly enamoured with the wild goings on around the release of the Olivia Wilde film, starring Harry Styles, Chris Pine and Florence Pugh.
However, the attention around the film understandably quietened down later in the week following the death of the Queen at the age of 96 on Thursday.
A few days on, though, and Hamill is clearly ready to get back to unpacking whether Styles spat on Pine at the screening of the movie at the Venice Film Festival.
In a video that caused uproar on social media, Styles, 28, was seen returning to his seat at the screening on Monday, dipping his head slightly and causing Pine, 42, who was sat next to him, to react in a confused manner.
The clip was widely circulated, though a representative for Pine told US outlet People that the idea that the singer had spat on him was ‘ridiculous’.

A spokesperson for Styles also poured cold water on the spit-gate speculation.
But Hollywood icon Hamill, 70, known for playing Luke Skywalker in the Stars Wars films, still wants to talk about it, tweeting on Friday: ‘Wondering what’s the appropriate amount of time to mourn the Queen before we can go back to debating whether Harry Styles spit on Chris Pine.’
Emmerdale actor Liam Fox replied: ‘Is there any possibility that after spending so much time in the U.K. you could be crowned King Charles III JEDI council advisor? We need you’
Responding to the message, Hamill added: ‘In addition to having a deep devotion to England, due to living & working there for years, my eldest child was born In London. Naturally, I feel a sacred obligation to serve the U.K. in any way possible, if called to do so.’

While former One Direction star Styles may not have released his saliva onto Pine in Venice, the cheeky singer did take a moment to poke fun at the whole ordeal earlier this week.
On stage on Wednesday at Madison Square Garden in New York, the As It Was singer addressed the wild fan theories and was clearly amused by it all.
He joked to the thousands of fans in the iconic venue: ‘I just popped very quickly to Venice to spit on Chris Pine but fear not, we’re back.’
Although the former One Direction star didn’t spit on Pine, he did exchange some saliva with one of his co-stars at the ceremony earlier this week, planting a kiss on Nick Kroll.

And it’s fair to say the whole Don’t Worry Darling promotional run has been eventful to say the least, with Styles’ girlfriend Wilde, the film’s director, at the centre of controversy, having reportedly clashed behind the scenes with Pugh, 26.
Pugh was absent from promotional duties before the film premiere on Monday in Venice, which did nothing to dampen the rumours.
Much of the speculation stemmed from suggestions that the director ‘neglected or alienated’ Pugh on set because she was so taken with co-star Styles, who she started dating at the beginning of last year.
There were bizarre claims that the Midsommar actress had to step in to direct scenes at some point, along with the cinematographer.
However, since then, Wilde has addressed the speculation, explaining that it is ‘very rare’ for people to assume the best from women in power, as they are often not given the benefit of the doubt in any situation.
‘Florence did the job I hired her to do, and she did it exquisitely. She blew me away. Every day I was in awe of her, and we worked very well together,’ the filmmaker told Vanity Fair.
‘It is ironic that now, with my second film – which is again about the incredible power of women, what we’re capable of when we unite, and how easy it is to strip a woman of power by using other women to judge and shame them – we’re talking about this.’
