Amber Gill felt ‘relieved’ to have been axed first from Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins but she’s worried about the response.

The 25-year-old reality star – who won Love Island back in 2019 alongside then-boyfriend Greg O’Shea – took part in the Channel 4 survival show but left the programme on Sunday (September 11) after failing to complete a physical challenge on the beach.

She had mixed emotions during filming, and admitted she was concerned fans will think she ‘didn’t push’ herself hard enough.

She said: ‘Although I felt relieved, I was kind of like “Oh for God’s sake, the stereotype is still going to be strong, like you didn’t push yourself enough and you’re just from Love Island.” ‘

The former beautician went on to insist that she just ‘couldn’t do anymore’ during her short stint in military-style training.

Speaking to The Sun, she added: ‘I couldn’t do it anymore. It was just too much.’

Meanwhile, Amber’s fellow contestant and TOWIE star Pete Wicks also left the programme after suffering several broken ribs when he fell out of a helicopter and he insisted he’ll be ‘haunted’ by his failure.

He said: ‘I was gutted actually. This is a bit of a thing for me, it’s like I’ve always wanted to do this show and the worst thing for me was to be taken out because that’s something that I can’t control.

‘But being completely honest, they’re a hundred percent right because I wouldn’t have been able to carry on with my broken ribs.

‘To have been out so early, I was absolutely gutted because it’s a fail . And unfortunately now for me, I feel like I failed. It’s something that will f**king haunt me because I just don’t fail things.’

Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins continues this weekend on Channel 4, with the likes of former EastEnders star Maisie Smith, Olympian Fatima Whitbread, and ex-footballer Ashley Cain still in the competntion.

Along with a host of other famous faces, they are all vying to impress ex-US Marine Rudy Reyes in a bid to pass the challenges of the show.

Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins continues Sunday (September 18) at 9pm on Channel 4.
