Gary Barlow has shared that his wife Dawn has undergone a ‘big operation’ on her wrist.

The 51-year-old pop star married Dawn in 2000 after they first met through work when Dawn joined Take That’s production team as a backup dancer and appeared on the band’s 1995 Nobody Else Tour.

Gary and Dawn now have matching tattoos, which he got shortly before their 19th wedding anniversary.

The chart-topping star – who shares Daniel, 22, Emily, 20, and Daisy, 13,
with his wife, as well as a daughter, Poppy, who was stillborn in 2012 – has now revealed that his wife, 52, recently sustained an injury.

Dawn broke her wrist four weeks ago, and although she recently went under the knife, she remains in ‘a lot of pain’.

Gary – who has been working on his one-man stage show, A Different Stage, in London’s West End – wrote on Twitter: ‘In other news – Mrs B broke her wrist 4 weeks ago – on Friday she had a big operation – she’s in a lot of pain but on the mend – juggling real life this week with the blessing of being in the West End – it never rains.’

The former X Factor judge received an outpouring of well wishes, with fans wishing Dawn a ‘speedy recovery’.

‘I hope you’ve been pampering her between shows Mr B. Sending Dawn lots of love for a speedy recovery’, one fan replied.

‘Oh poor Dawn. I hope she heals quickly and the pain is soon gone for her. What a good job you are not working far away’, tweeted another.

Gary’s critically-acclaimed one-man show is currently receiving rave reviews, following runs in Liverpool, Runcorn, Manchester, and Edinburgh.

He first took to the West End stage in August, performing at the Duke of York’s Theatre, which is a jewel in London’s famous West End, having formerly hosted performances including The Ocean At The End of the Lane.
