Lorraine returns to ITV but Loose Women still scrapped for coverage of Queen’s death-Alicia Adejobi-Entertainment – Metro

Lorraine will return to screens tomorrow after being pulled from ITV’s schedule to focus on coverage of Queen Elizabeth II’s death, but Loose Women is still nowhere to be seen.
The channel made sweeping changes to its daytime and evening line-up after the Queen died at her Balmoral home aged 96 on September 8.
ITV has prioritised rolling coverage of the aftermath of the monarch’s death, which has meant pulling some of its staple shows from the schedule.
However, it has been confirmed that Lorraine Kelly’s morning programme will return in its usual 9am slot on Tuesday, followed by This Morning which Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby will host between 10am-12pm.
Loose Women remains cancelled at 12pm to make way for an extended ITV News Special which will cover The King’s Tour – Northern Ireland. The Lunchtime News will then air at 1:30pm followed by Queen Elizabeth II – Return To The Palace at 4pm.
Emmerdale will also return to screens at 8:05pm before a special documentary, Charles, The Monarch and the Man is broadcast at 9:05pm. The programme, hosted by Jonathan Dimbleby, is set to look back at the achievements of King Charles III who was formally proclaimed after the Queen’s death.

ITV News at Ten will air at 10pm with Our Queen, The People’s Stories at 11pm, featuring stories from people from all walks of life reflecting on meeting the Queen over the years.
It comes after ITV faced backlash for continuing to air Loose Women on Thursday afternoon after it was revealed the late monarch was under medical supervision at Balmoral after doctors became ‘concerned’ for her health.
The Queen is currently lying in state in Edinburgh but will be flown to London this week ahead of her funeral on September 19.
