Penny Lancaster has expressed her pride that she’ll be working as a police constable at the Queen’s funeral next Monday.
The late monarch, who died at Balmoral aged 96, will be laid to rest at Westminster Abbey at 11am on September 19, which has been declared a bank holiday.
TV presenter and model Penny will be on duty for the historic event and voiced her honour during an interview on Good Morning Britain.
‘I signed the oath of Office of Constable to Her Majesty the Queen just over a year ago, April last year, and just as the seamless tie between Her Majesty and King Charles III, my oath will now be with the King,’ she told hosts Ben Shephard and Susanna Reid.
Penny, who recently worked during the Queen’s memorial service at St Paul’s Cathedral on Friday, added: ‘I have extreme pride to serve on the streets of London on Friday and I will be again on Wednesday when the Queen’s cortege and on Monday, which is a historic moment I’ll be very proud to be able to serve.’

Penny previously paid tribute to the Queen with a photograph posted to her Instagram page following the news of her death.
‘May Her Majesty’s memory be a blessing 🙏🏼 may she rest in peace,’ she penned. ‘Prayers and thoughts are with the family of our wonderful Queen, as they come together at this very sad time.’
She also told the programme that King Charles III has the same quality as his late mother to ‘put people at ease’ as she recalled fond memories of dancing with him on his 60th birthday.
