Even Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s most outspoken critic Piers Morgan managed to find a positive in the couple’s surprise reunion with Prince William and Kate, the Princess of Wales.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex made the unexpected move of joining the Prince and Princess of Wales on their walkabout, despite their fallout, to greet supporters mourning the Queen’s death in Windsor on Saturday.

Buckingham Palace confirmed Queen Elizabeth II died ‘peacefully’ at her home in Balmoral on September 8 aged 96.

The monarch’s death appears to have brought the so-called Fab Four back together, with William reportedly extending an olive branch to Harry and Meghan via text message to ask if they would join him and Kate on the walkabout.

After negotiations lasting around 45 minutes, the foursome put their almighty Royal rift aside to accompany each other on the engagement.

Royal watchers are now wondering if the couples have actually called a truce or if they will struggle to move past the tension that has mounted in recent years.

Sharing his thoughts, Morgan offered a positive outlook on the reunion, telling his Uncensored viewers on Monday: ‘Obviously there’s that opportunity and obviously it was encouraging to see them the four of them coming out, and obviously everyone would like them to all get on and to be promoting the new King and the new monarchy.

‘The problem is I don’t think that this picture is the end of the problem.’

Guest and family law barrister Paula Rhone-Adrien chimed in: ‘I agree with you Piers, it’s not the complete picture, but what we do have is positive progression, the coming together because what, unfortunately, grieving can do is it can also tear you apart but we haven’t seen that.’

However, that was the extent of Morgan’s niceties towards Harry and Meghan, after advising the Prince to ‘rip up the contact and cancel’ his upcoming memoir which is tipped to be a tell-all about his life in the Royal family.

‘How do you honour the King with a new book?,’ Morgan questioned.

He added: ‘This has been a big mess and I feel quite angry this is what the Queen had to deal with the last two years…

‘They’ve been enriching themselves off of hundreds of thousands of millions of dollars.’

Referring to the Duke and Duchess, he said: ‘The pain she’s caused the Royal Family and the pain he’s caused to me outweighs their own difficulties.’

Prince Harry shared his first statement following the Queen’s death on Monday, in which he paid tribute to his late grandmother, saying: ‘I cherish these times shared with you, and the many other special moments in between. You are already sorely missed, not just by us, but by the world over.’

The Queen is currently lying in state in Edinburgh and will be flown to London on Wednesday, before being laid to rest at her funeral on Monday.

Piers Morgan Uncensored airs Monday-Friday on TalkTV at 8pm.
