Triple H has teased another huge WWE stadium show after the success of Clash At The Castle.

The company’s boss – whose real name is Paul Levesque – has hailed the event a ‘massive success’, and hinted that now the wrestling giant is looking ahead to returning in a big way for 2023 after their first major stadium event in the UK in 30 years.

He tweeted: ‘#WWECastle was a massive success for @WWE across all lines of business and the #WWEUniverse in the UK… the next question is where should we go next?!’

Alongside the tweet was a graphic detailing some of the records broken by the Principality Stadium show in Cardiff, Wales, which saw people from 42 countries travel to be part of the historic weekend.

In terms of viewership, WWE said Clash At The Castle is now the top international premimum live event in the company’s long history, while the crowd of over 62,000 fans made it the ‘largest European gate ever’.

As well as #WWECastle trending number one on Twitter – which isn’t unusual for WWE events – WWE described it as the ‘highest-rated international PLE in WWE history’, in terms of fan reaction.

It turns out merchandise sales were also noteworthy, potentially helped by the pop-up superstore set up in the city centre, as it became WWE’s ‘best-selling non-WrestleMania event’.

The company has even pointed to the post-show press conference, which has the ‘highest concurrent views on YouTube of any non pre-show’.

In the press conference, Metro.co.uk got caught in the firing line as Seth Rollins – shortly after his big win over Matt Riddle – launched into a passionate defence of his love for wrestling.

During the Q&A, we asked Intercontinental Champion Gunther – a man famed for his no-nonsense approach to wrestling – what he made of the larger than life superstar sat to his right.

However, the tone of the tongue-in-cheek question seemed to get under the skin of Rollins, who was quick to interject with a fiery response outlining the sacrifices he continues to make after a glittering 17-year career and counting.

He said: ‘Not to be contentious here, but are you trying to rag on me not taking the industry seriously? Because it’s kind of my life – I’ve kind of dedicated my entire life to it.

‘I have a lot of fun with it but at the end of the day, it is my passion. I dedicate literally every single waking second of eating, sleeping and not raising my kid to this industry. So, just because I look good, don’t mean you’ve gotta be jealous my friend!’

WWE Raw (Mondays) and SmackDown (Fridays) air weekly at 1am on BT Sport 1.
