Jennifer Coolidge has sent the internet into meltdown after she broke into dance while being played off during her Emmy acceptance speech.
The Legally Blonde star was among the winners at this year’s Emmy awards and scooped up her first-ever gong for outstanding supporting actress in a limited series or movie for her role in the HBO show The White Lotus.
It was a huge moment for Coolidge, and she rightfully took her time by telling the audience she had a lavender bath before the ceremony before going on to give thanks to her colleagues.
But no sooner than Coolidge began her shout-outs, the producers started to play her off to Ray Charles’ Hit the Road Jack. The audacity!
‘I just want to say I took a lavender bath tonight, right before the show, and it made me swell up inside my dress,’ she began by saying.
‘I’m having a hard time speaking.’

Coolidge then shared her gratitude to HBO and the likes, but music quickly broke out interrupting her.
‘No, hang on, this is a once-in-a-lifetime thing and I’m full, I’m full,’ she exclaimed.
Handling the disruption like an absolute champ, Coolidge then started dancing – and the crowd went wild.
Fans around the globe were also living for the actress’s impromptu moves, but blasted the Emmys for cutting her off.
‘Straight to jail with whoever played @JENCOOLIDGE off stage!’ fumed on. ‘But also thank you because we got that adorable dance.’
Echoing a similar sentiment, another vented: ‘C’mon #emmys producers! How do you play off the great Jennifer Coolidge while she’s delivering a once in a career acceptance speech? Even when something exciting happens onstage, they can’t help stepping on the moment.’
A third added: ‘HOW DO YOU PLAY OFF JENNIFER COOLIDGE.’
This year’s Emmys was an evening full of laughter, with Kenan Thompson ripping into Leonardo DiCaprio during his speech.
Elsewhere, Succession writer Jesse Armstrong said it had been a ‘big week for successions’ as his hit HBO drama scooped the gong for outstanding drama series.
He was quickly reminded to ‘keep it royalist’ by series star and Scottish actor Brian Cox.
