Good Burger stars Kenan and Kel reunited during the Emmy Awards 2022, immediately transporting us all back to the 90s.
Last night’s awards were full of laughs, what with Leonardo DiCaprio being rinsed for his love life and Jennifer Coolidge dancing to the music the producers were trying to get her off the stage to.
But one moment that really delighted viewers was when host Kenan Thompson performed a skit at a bartender with Kumail Nanjiani, before pointing to a man passed out on the bar.
As the Saturday Night Live comedian approached the man to ask him for his order, Kel Mitchell quickly arose much to his surprise – and the audience too.
Referencing their hilarious comedy, Mitchell exclaimed: ‘You know what… can I get a good burger?’, prompting Thompson to cry out with joy and wrap his arms around his former co-star.
‘Let’s make it two good burgers!’ Thompson quipped.

Fans were elated by Kenan and Kel’s reunion and rushed to social media with melted hearts.
‘Wow, I can’t believe how much joy I just experienced seeing Kenan and Kel reunited together,’ one enthused.
Echoing a similar sentiment, another penned: ‘Truly warms my millennial heart to know that Kenan and Kel remain friends all these years later.’
‘I’m here for that Kenan and Kel reunion,’ a third said. ‘I love seeing them together! Nostalgia vibes in full effect.’
Kenan and Kel, of course, starred alongside each other in the cult film Good Burger, released in 1997.
The comedy, which was based on the sketch of the same name on the Nickelodeon series All That, followed high school student Dexter Reed (Thompson) who takes a summer job at a burger joint in order to pay for damages caused in a car crash.

There, he meets and reluctantly befriends the dim-witted and absent-minded cashier Ed (Mitchell) alongside its other employees.
Last month, Thompson teased a possible Good Burger sequel on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon.

‘I would like it to!’ he said. ‘We are working harder on it than ever, so it’s about meeting the numbers, letting them numbers match up.
‘Because I need them numbers.’
‘I feel like Ed should have a million kids,’ he added. ‘And then Dexter coming out of jail for something that he put me in jail for.’
