Pete Davidson made a surprise appearance at this year’s 74th Primetime Emmy Awards.

The comedian and actor, 28, dropped into the ceremony, which took place at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, to present outstanding comedy series to Ted Lasso.

Before he opened the envelope, Pete gave a shout-out to Emmys host and former Saturday Night Live (SNL) co-star Kenan Thompson.

‘The guy’s been in the zone for the past 30 years, just making us smile, nothing but net. He’s an absolute treasure and I’m honored to call him a friend,’ he said.

‘This is just like SNL because Kenan is doing all the work and I’m refusing to say what the writers want,’ he joked.

During Jason Sudeikis’ acceptance speech for the award, in which he gave a touching shoutout to his children, Pete made a not-so-subtle exit.

Leaving the stage, he stopped to pose for photos and chat with stars at the event, including Drag Race icon RuPaul.

Pete also got to celebrate SNL’s sixth consecutive win for Variety Sketch Series.

He announced his departure from the long-running comedy sketch show in May alongside co-stars Kate McKinnon, Aidy Bryant, and Kyle Mooney.

This year’s Emmy Awards also marked the first major event for Pete since splitting with Kim Kardashian last month.

The Kardashians star, 41, and comedian were first linked last October, following that now infamous Saturday Night Live sketch.

They made their romance Instagram official earlier this year, before hitting the red carpet together at the Met Gala.

However, they have now gone their separate ways, following Pete’s relocation to Australia for a new acting role.

The pair have reportedly stayed friends since the split.
