Rapper PnB Rock has reportedly been shot dead at the age of 30 in a robbery in an LA eatery, with tributes pouring in.

The musician – real name Rakim Allen – was known for his 2015 and 2016 singles Fleek and Selfish, and collaborating with Ed Sheeran on his song Cross Me, as well as providing uncredited vocals on  XXXTentacion’s Changes.

PnB Rock was shot on Monday at a Roscoe’s Chicken & Waffles in South Los Angeles while dining with his girlfriend, various outlets have reported.

The LAPD confirmed to the Los Angeles Time that a shooting took place on Monday at around 1pm but did not confirm the name of the victim.

A spokesperson for the police added to the outlet that the suspect approached the victim with a firearm and ordered him to hand over items.

The suspect then ‘shot the victim and ran out the side door to a getaway car and then fled the parking lot.’

PnB Rock first became known for his 2015 song Fleek, before his 2016 single Selfish charted at number 51.

In 2018, XXXTentacion released his song Changes, which features uncredited vocals from PnB Rock.

Then, in 2019, PnB Rock was featured alongside Chance The Rapper on Ed Sheeran’s song Cross Me, as part of his album No.6 Collaborations Project.

In his final Instagram post, PnB Rock promoted his song Luv Me Again.

Tributes have also poured in for the late star.

Cardi B spoke out against people condemning PnB Rock’s girlfriend for reportedly tagging their location on Instagram.

After Pop Smoke there’s no way we as rappers or our loved ones are still posting locations to our whereabouts. To show waffles & some fried chicken????! He was such a pleasure to work with. Condolences to his mom & family. This makes me feel so sick. Jesus. #SIP #PnbRock 🕊

I highly doubt nikkas was looking at PMB’s babymom IG. He was in a bad location and people stay outside plotting. It’s very irresponsible and inconsiderate to blame her for something so tragic. We should be sending nothing but love to her and his family at this time.
