Married At First Sight groom ‘tipped to be starring on Love Island Australia’-Sabrina Barr-Entertainment – Metro

One of the stars of Married At First Sight is tipped to be appearing on Love Island Australia as he continues his quest for love.
Earlier this year, carpenter Al Perkins appeared on the 2022 series of MAFS Australia, where he was paired up with fashion brand manager Samantha Moitzi.
While the couple unanimously chose to remain in the process for the first three commitment ceremonies, by the time that each pair had to make their final decision, they had called it quits on their relationship.
Just a few months later, it appears Al may be embarking on a new reality TV venture, as he’s supposedly set to star on Love Island Australia.
A source told Daily Mail Australia that it was a ‘dream come true’ for Al to sign up for Love Island, reportedly meaning a ‘one-off four-figure sum’ as a result.
The host of the programme, Sophie Monk, also dropped a heavy hint insinuating that he was part of the cast, stating at a Channel Nine event: ‘We have high-flying real estate agents, we have a soccer player, we have a model, a dancer and we have a famous groom.’
‘I can’t say too much, but the bombs are gonna be insane,’ she added.
Meanwhile, MAFS star Samantha, who Al previously exchanged vows with, commented on his supposed casting on her Instagram Stories last week.
Speaking directly to her fans, Samantha questioned how Al could have been permitted to star on Love Island, as their MAFS contract stipulated ‘not allowed to apply for any reality TV shows for over a year of the last episode airing’.
However, considering Love Island Australia and MAFS Australia fall under the same TV network, ‘maybe he got a special allowance’, she speculated.
‘He loves a tan, he loves getting his shirt off, he loves pretty women in bikinis, so why would he not have the best time?’ she said, adding that she hopes Al does find love in the villa.
Al shared his most recent Instagram post on August 23, a video that saw him taking a swig of a drink out of a shoe before bungee jumping.
Love Island Australia 2022 is set to film in Spain this year.
