It might be almost two decades since the final episode of Only Fools and Horses aired, but the love for the classic sitcom continues to hold strong among fans and cast members alike.
From 1981 until 1991, David Jason and Nicholas Lyndhurst starred as half-brothers Derek Edward ‘Del Boy’ Trotter and Rodney Charlton Trotter respectively, in the show set in South London that followed the duo’s efforts to find fortune in their lives.
The actors reprised their roles in several Christmas specials leading up to the early 2000s, with the final episode coming out on December 25 in 2003, as well as also appearing in a variety of specials.
The passion for Only Fools and Horses has continued to endure throughout the years, spawning a West End production, a spin-off and a prequel series.
During a recent convention, several of the cast members – including Philip Pope, Michael Fenton, Daniel Peacock and Patrick Murray – were spotted reuniting, with one photo taken at the event showing them beaming for the camera with a delighted fan.
Patrick, who starred as Mickey Pearce, in the series, looked dapper in a black hat, suit and tie, giving a cheerful thumbs up to the camera.
Philip played Tony Angelino on Only Fools, while Michael depicted Alan Perkins and Patrick portrayed the character dubbed ‘Mental Mickey’ on the sitcom.
The excited fan, named Sam Thorpe, wrote in their Instagram caption: ‘Great Only Fools and Horses evening in Hull tonight. Was great to meet some of the cast including Philip Pope AKA Tony Angelino, Michael Fenton Stevens AKA Alan Perkins who I also know best for his role as Sir Henry in Benidorm, Daniel Peacock AKA Mental Mickey and finally Mickey Pearce himself Patrick Murray!’

Earlier this year, Patrick, 65, shared an update with fans following his lung cancer diagnosis, saying he was ‘cured’ after undergoing chemotherapy.
In a post shared on Twitter, the actor said: ‘Last Friday I saw my oncologist. She told me the lung cancer was cured and that the tumour in my liver was shrinking.’
He added at the time: ‘It’s not over yet, but as you can imagine I am over the moon with this latest news.’
Patrick was diagnosed with lung cancer in July 2021, before undergoing an operation in October that year to remove the tumour.
Only Fools and Horses is available to watch on Amazon Prime Video.
