The drama hasn’t stopped following the release of Selling the OC, with Brittany Snow announcing her split from Tyler Stanaland earlier this week.

They confirmed that they have separated after two years of marriage, sharing the news in similar statements on Instagram.

Although the reason behind their split wasn’t made clear, it has claimed that the Netflix series put a strain on their relationship – and was the ‘final straw’.

According to reports, the Pitch Perfect actress wasn’t keen on the real estate agent appearing on the Selling Sunset spin-off, but he wanted to ‘make a name for himself’.

‘Brittany never wanted Tyler on the show but he was adamant,’ an insider claimed. ‘He wanted to make a name for himself on his own terms.’

The source told People magazine that having their marriage thrown into the spotlight – with the storyline surrounding Kayla attempting to kiss him on a night out – is what ‘broke them’ as a couple.

‘They had issues before, but this is the final straw,’ they added.

There were fireworks in the Oppenheim Group office when it emerged that Kayla had tried it on with Tyler during a drunken evening, which left their colleagues shocked.

‘My wife and I are very strong. We communicate. And there’s no issue between us,’ he said at the time.

She later apologized and they moved on, but eyebrows were raised over the dynamics between Tyler and the other women in the office, as they appeared to be very affectionate with him.

However, the former professional surfer previously insisted that there was respect and an understanding between them that meant that no lines would ever be crossed.

He started dating Brittany in 2018 and the former couple announced their engagement the following year.

They tied the knot in March of the following year, hosting their ceremony at a vineyard in Malibu before the Covid lockdown hit.

Unfortunately, it wasn’t to last and they shared the news of their split on Wednesday.

‘After time and consideration, Britt and I have made the difficult decision to separate,’ a statement on social media read. ‘This decision was made with love and mutual respect for one another.

‘We have realized we need to take some time and make sure we are each living our most fulfilling and authentic lives.

‘We sincerely appreciate your support and ask for privacy as we navigate this new chapter.’
