Sandra Oh will be attending the Queen’s funeral as part of the Canadian delegation.

The Killing Eve actress, 51, will take part in a procession of national honours as part of the service, which is taking place on Monday September 19, following Queen Elizabeth II’s death last Thursday aged 96.

She will join the Order of Canada delegation alongside two of her fellow Canadians: musician Gregory Charles and Olympic swimmer Mark Tewkesbury.

The Order of Canada is the country’s highest civilian honour and is administered by Canada’s Governor General on behalf of King Charles III.

Sandra, also known for starring in hit US drama series Grey’s Anatomy, was awarded the honour after raising her profile in the UK alongside Jodie Comer in BBC series Killing Eve, which won five Baftas during its run.

The Canadian delegation at the Queen’s funeral will be fronted by Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and will feature other Canadian government officials.

The delegation is expected to arrive in the UK shortly before the funeral, which will take place at Westminster Abbey and will be marked by a day of national mourning in Canada.

The queue to see the Queen stretched to nearly five miles in length, with waiting times estimated to be roughly 11 hours.

Several famous faces have already been to pay their respects to the Queen, including David Beckham, Susanna Reid, and This Morning hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby.

Viewers have praised Beckham in particular for waiting more than 12 hours in the queue with other members of the public.

Schofield and Willoughby, on the other hand, bypassed the queues to view the coffin from a nearby press box, drawing some criticism on social media.

King Charles III and Queen Consort Camilla will be in attendance, alongside Prince William and Catherine, Princess Anne and husband Vice Admiral Timothy Laurence, Prince Edward and wife Sophie Rhys-Jones.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will be part of the proceedings, as well as Prince Andrew.

Prime Minister Liz Truss and Labour’s Sir Keir Starmer, the two leaders of the UK’s main political parties, will be among the 2,000 guests expected to attend.

US President Joe Biden is also journeying to the UK for the funeral, alongside many other world leaders, including France’s President Emmanuel Macron.

Channel 4 announced earlier today that they will not be broadcasting coverage of the funeral – instead, they will be showing the 1953 documentary A Queen is Crowned.

On the day of the funeral, the Queen’s period of lying in state for mourners to visit her coffin will end at 6.30am.

Two thousand attendees will then be invited into Westminster Abbey at 10.35am, where the Queen’s coffin will arrive at 10.52am.

At 11am, the Queen’s funeral will then begin, and is expected to last an hour – the ending will be signalled by a performance of The Last Post.

A nationwide two minutes of silence will then occur at 12pm midday.
