Kourtney Kardashian has set the record straight after kourting controversy when reports emerged she deprived her children of french fries.

The reality TV star shares three children, Mason, Penelope and Reign, with her ex-partner Scott Disick and is renowned for her healthy lifestyle, founding wellness brand Poosh.

The 43-year-old, who is married to Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker, became the subject of a backlash when multiple outlets claimed she denies her three children, specifically Mason, 12, the fried delight.

Lifting the lid on her diet, Kourtney had previously said she was chatting to Mason when he had asked for some McDonald’s chips because he hadn’t sampled the Golden Arches’ speciality in a year.

Her response to her son, she told WSJ Magazine was: ‘Today’s not the day, sorry.’

But Kourtney, the sister of Kim, Khloe and Rob Kardashian, as well as Kylie and Kendall Jenner, has shared her frustration over the trending story, which she has since said isn’t totally accurate.

Blasting the articles, she explained: ‘It wasn’t Mason. I want to clear that up here, with you. It was Reign, my 7-year-old. We make french fries at home.

‘I was walking with Travis today and I was like, “This is so annoying; this is why I don’t like doing interviews.” Other outlets then twist it and make it into something else.’

‘We’re a french fry–loving family, to clear that up,’ she told Vogue Magazine. ‘We love french fries; we go to restaurants that have fries. Just McDonald’s specifically. I love to avoid fast food when we can.’

Kourtney was also the subject of a backlash when she was recently unveiled as the new face of Boohoo, and shared a video where she spoke of the importance of sustainability.

The news raised some eyebrows as the famous family are known for showing off their excessive lifestyles on social media – as well as their Hulu series – and recently came under fire over their continued use of private jets.

However, Kourtney has since spoken about her decision to rep the fast fashion brand saying: ‘Boohoo approached me to be a sustainability ambassador, and though I knew it would get backlash because the two just don’t go hand in hand, I thought about the fact that fast fashion, or the fashion industry in general, isn’t going anywhere.

‘I thought about the attention this collaboration would bring to people who may otherwise have no idea about the impacts of fast fashion on our planet. I thought about how pushing Boohoo to make some initial changes and then holding them accountable to larger change would be impactful.’

She continued: ‘It’s definitely making some noise which is exactly what I was hoping for.’

‘I certainly don’t have all the answers, but for someone who has done a fast fashion line collaboration in the past, which didn’t get backlash because I was not calling attention to trying to make better changes, I feel proud about doing it with intention and purpose.’
