Geordie Shore star Aaron Chalmers has shared that his new baby son Oakley is back in hospital, just weeks after the newborn was allowed home earlier this month.

The 35-year-old dad of three previously revealed that he would require surgery after being born with health complications, and that his ‘little soldier’ faced a ‘long road ahead’.

Although operations were due to take place over the next two years, the retired mixed marital artist revealed that this first operation so soon had been ‘unexpected’.

Sharing a picture of himself beaming down at Oakley as he leant over the hospital bed on Saturday, Aaron wrote: ‘First operation down yesterday for the little man ❤️!! This 1 come around so unexpected but the op went well and he’s breathing normal now with the help of some tubes in his nose!!

‘It’s going to be a long road for my little solider but every op he has makes him that little bit better ❤️

He added: ‘We’ve got this my little sunshine mummy and daddy and your brothers and sisters can wait to get you home 🥰 [sic]’

He and girlfriend Talia Oatway are already parents to Romeo, two, and Maddox, 17 months, as well as influencer Talia’s daughter Siennah, eight, from a previous relationship.

Talia commented on the sweet Instagram picture ‘My boys xxx’, while Ashley Cain wrote: ‘Sending love and strength my brother. Let’s go little champ 🧡’

Aaron also thanked fans for their well wishes and support in a video posted to his Stories and seen by The Mirror, where he called the messages they’d had ‘really unbelievable’ as he shared the couple’s gratitude.

He then explained Oakley had had his cannula removed but was breathing by himself with assistance from tubes.

‘I just wanna say thank you to everyone who’s sent a message, it means everything,’ the reality star added.

‘It’s been a tough few days for me and Talia and all the messages of support have picked us up in a time when we needed it.
