Love is Blind stars Kyle Abrams and Deepti Vempati finally confirmed their romance during the After the Altar special.
During season two of the dating series, Kyle, 30, proposed to Shaina Hurley while Deepti dumped Abhishek ‘Shake’ Chatterjee at the altar in the wedding finale.
After expressing that his biggest regret was not proposing to Deepti, 31, fans have been living for their romantic friends to lovers trope.
However, the rumours were immediately put to rest as Netflix dropped three additional episodes to give fans a glimpse at what the stars have been up to since the reunion.
Throughout the special, Kyle and Deepti expressed their desire to date each other but feared their budding romance would ruin their friendship.
‘I wanna just start a relationship—like a legitimate relationship with you,’ he said.
‘And be exclusive, instead of just, like, in limbo.’
“We’re gonna actually try this?” Deepti asked in response.
‘Yeah, sure,’ Kyle says. ‘I want to.’
‘I want to, too,’ she added.

Fans that have already binged the three-parter quickly expressed their delight on Twitter.
‘Deepti and Kyle are a textbook romance novel trope. Friends to lovers, slow burn. Worth the wait. Five stars!’ one person wrote.
‘Kyle and Deepti making it official is the best thing that came from LIB,’ another added.
‘Kyle & Deepti are the best thing since Cameron & Lauren — especially since they weren’t the original pairings and their love bloomed without the pressure of the cameras,’ a third person wrote.

During their time on the reality dating programme on Netflix, Shake made several remarks behind Deepti’s back explaining that he wasn’t attracted to her physically, saying at one point: ‘I’m not physically attracted to her, man. It feels like I’m with my aunt or something.’
He also sparked bewilderment from the women during their time in the pods due to his comments on their bodies as he tried to picture their physiques, especially when he asked if he ‘would be able to lift them on his shoulders during music festivals.’
