Lady Gaga has apologised to fans after she was forced to cut short her final show on her Chromatica Ball tour due to adverse weather.
The singer, 36, had been performing in Miami on Saturday evening when a severe tropical storm hit, and the show had to be shut down due to safety concerns amid the lightning.
Lady Gaga broke down in tears as she recorded a video for her followers, telling them: ‘Hi everybody, thank you so much for coming to the Chromatica Ball.
‘We really tried to finish the show in Miami tonight but we couldn’t because even when the rain sort of stopped, there was lightning that was striking right down to the ground, so close to us.’
She added that while she tries to be a ‘hardcore bad b***h’ she had to also make the ‘responsible’ decision to stop the show for everyone’s safety.
Gaga, real name Stefani Germanotta, added: ‘I don’t know what I would do if anything happened to anybody in the audience or to any member of my crew, my band, my dancers.
Sorry, the video was not found
‘So I’m sorry that we didn’t get to do the epic performance of Rain On Me in the rain but what’s more worth it to me is life.’
The Shallow star added that it ‘took so much to get back to a place where I could perform and be healthy’ but she had to make the ‘healthy decision’ not to push on with the show.
Sharing another photo of her emotionally holding a bunch of flowers a fan had thrown onto the stage, Gaga added: ‘I’m sorry I couldn’t finish the show it was too dangerous the lightening was being unpredictable and changing moment by moment, I love you. (sic)

‘Look, for years some of you have called me “mother monster,” in my heart I knew it was better to keep you safe. Thank you for believing in me.
‘This was the greatest tour of my life and I will cherish this moment forever—it took a long time for me to heal, but I did.
‘Sure, OF COURSE, I wanted to sing rain on me for you in the rain. “I’d rather be dry, but at least I’m alive”—I guess somehow I knew this moment would happen and I am so grateful to you, my dancers, my band the whole crew everyone my family and friends.
‘Safety first. Love you. Thank you for the flowers and the cheers and for understanding. Life matters. #thechromaticaball.’
The Chromatica Ball began in July in Europe and had been due to finish on September 17 in Miami’s Hard Rock Stadium after having been pushed back twice amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
