There’s still at least a year wait for the final season of Stranger Things, but writers of the hit TV show have sent fans into a frenzy today.
Posting to Twitter, the series’ team of writers shared a photo of the whiteboard that contains all of the plot details for the fifth season.
The catch? The entire thing was blurred.
‘Grid complete’, the post read, alongside the huge whiteboard that was totally illegible.
Unsurprisingly, fans freaked out, first thinking they had been given the secrets of the next season, before many responded, begging others to try and read or unblur the information.
‘I can’t believe you would just post major spoilers for the whole season,’ screamed one angry fan, while another simply yelped: ‘OH MY GOD.’
Others tried to make light of the situation and of being totally teased, choosing to write their own ideas for the plot over the image, with ideas (or perhaps pleas) ranging from ‘Will Byers’ happy ending’, and ‘Max alive’ to comments begging for the return of Eddie Munson.

With the last season ending on a cliffhanger, there are plenty of unanswered questions people are desperate to find out.

The town of Hawkins is still under threat from Vecna with the Upside Down now very much in the real world.
The chances of more deaths are very much on the cards, with series creators the Duffer brothers saying they don’t plan to introduce any new characters, meaning more fan favourites might be at risk.
Some of the core cast have even said that more people need to die (Millie Bobby Brown has joked that there are too many characters and that they should start getting killed off), while others have said they wouldn’t mind meeting their end.
Speaking to Rolling Stone earlier this month, Maya Hawke, who plays Robin, said that she would ‘love to die and get my hero’s moment’.
She added that because it was the last season, ‘people are probably gonna die’.
The only thing we know for sure right now is that we’ll have to wait awhile for the final season, which is set to screen later next year at the earliest. A more realistic air date is in 2024 as the scripts have not yet been written.
Given how closely the details of the last season were kept under wraps, it’s unlikely anything else will be found out this early, but stranger things have happened.
Stranger Things is available to stream on Netflix now.
