After all these years… Skins still has a hold on its fans that simply cannot be described in words.

In a recent photo shared on Kaya Scoledario’s Instagram Story, the actor – who starred as Effy in the teen drama – revealed she was hanging with her former co-stars Joe Dempsie and Daniel Kaluuya, who portrayed Chris and Posh Kenneth respectively in the show’s ‘First Generation’ cast.

The trio appeared to be at a wedding in the snap, as Kaya took the picture while sticking out her tongue, as Joe smiled sweetly and Daniel beamed at the camera.

Frankly put, Skins aficionados simply don’t know how to handle their meet-up.

‘I’m alive but I’m dead,’ one person tweeted in response to the picture, while another wrote: ‘Screaming crying throwing up.’

‘Seeing pictures of them hanging out together after all these years makes me feel so 🥰,’ someone else shared.

A number of Twitter users admitted how emotional it made them feel seeing Joe in the snap after his heartbreaking storyline on the show.

It might be 14 years (!!!) since viewers bid an emotional farewell to the fan-favourite character… but to be honest, it’s still too soon.

Some people also admitted that they forgot Daniel was in Skins, considering he’s gone on to win an Oscar since his recurring role.

The actor, who won the Academy Award for his performance in Judas and the Black Messiah, was not only a recurring cast member on Skins, but also a contributing writer on the series as well as head writer on two episodes.

Since playing Chris, one of Joe’s best-known roles was as Gendry in Game of Thrones, the illegitimate son of King Robert Baratheon, whose parentage is discovered by Ned Stark (Sean Bean).

Kaya starred as Catherine Earnshaw in Wuthering Heights, appeared in the 2017 Pirates of the Caribbean film Dead Men Tell No Tales and also appeared as Teresa in the Maze Runner franchise.

In August this year, Nicholas Hoult – who played Tony on Skins – shared another reunion snap with Kaya, Joe and Larissa Wilson, who played Jal on the series.

A month previously, Kaya made an apt comparison between Skins and Euphoria while watching the more recently-released Zendaya-starring drama, recalling how young she was when she appeared in the drama that was rife with serious themes including drug use and trauma.
