Chris Evans had the best reaction to seeing Ana De Armas as the iconic Marilyn Monroe for the first time in Blonde, hyping up her chances for an Oscar win.
The drama film takes a look at the life of American actress, singer, model, and world-renowned sex symbol Marilyn Monroe.
The psychological flick sees Ana take on the lead role, alongside a star-studded cast including Adrien Brody, Sara Paxton, and Bobby Canavale.
Ahead of the film’s release, Ana held her own screening for the film’s cast and crew as well as some of her close friends, including former Knives Out and The Gray Man co-star Chris.
The Marvel actor revealed his reaction to seeing Ana in the role, predicting she will win an Oscar for her performance.
‘I think this was one of the first opportunities she had to really sink her teeth into something incredibly demanding,’ he told Variety.

‘I didn’t see one bit of fear; I saw excitement. I remember looking at [her camera test] and saying, “OK, that’s Marilyn … where’s your shot? That’s you? Holy s**t! You’re going to win an Oscar for this!”‘
Co-star Adrien echoed the same sentiments during the film’s official premiere, saying her was ‘transported to another time and place’ during his time on the film with Ana.
Knives Out co-star Jamie Lee Curtis commented that she could not see Ana at all when she was in costume, only seeing ‘Marilyn in all her fragile glory.’
Blonde premiered at the Venice Film Festival to a 14-minute standing ovation, one of the longest at the festival.
Blonde comes to Netflix on September 28.
