Holly Willoughby has broken her social media silence for the first time since sparking a backlash for ‘skipping’ the queue to see the Queen’s coffin.
The Wylde Moon founder and her This Morning co-star Phillip Schofield were slammed by mourners for appearing to jump the queue to pay their respects as the former monarch lay-in-state at Westminster Hall.
After the uproar, viewers called for the controversial segment to be cut from a tribute to Britain’s longest reigning monarch on the ITV daytime show.
However, show bosses aired the sequence as planned on Tuesday, with Willoughby and Schofield explaining they didn’t take someone else’s spot in the line, adding they would never jump a queue.
Since the media storm erupted, the 41-year-old, who is married to TV producer Dan Baldwin, has not updated her fans on her social media accounts.
But on Friday morning, the mother-of-three broke her silence to congratulate her friend Lisa Snowdon on being crowned winner of Celebrity MasterChef.
Sharing a picture of the former model clutching her trophy, Willoughby wrote: ‘Congrats. Well done clever lady!’

Willoughby, who is said to be devastated by queue-gate, has spoken with lawyers over the ‘damaging’ allegations, although Metro.co.uk understands she hasn’t brought one in full-time.
It had initially been reported that there were fears Willoughby, who is said to be devastated by the situation, would quit This Morning over the situation.
However, it’s since been claimed that she is not going anywhere.
Some celebrities have jumped to Willoughby and Schofield’s defense, including Piers Morgan, who branded the saga ‘ridiculous.’

‘All hell broke loose about this, they have been subject to, I think, a ridiculously over-the-top campaign.’
