Loose Women star Kaye Adams has revealed she’s a little worried about what her family will be thinking if they’re sat in the audience during the Strictly Come Dancing live shows.

This week, Kaye, 59, is set to make her debut on the BBC competition, joining the likes of Fleur East, Kym Marsh, Tony Adams and James Bye in the line-up.

However, she’s not looking forward to having her family watching her.

Speaking to Lorraine Kelly on ITV’s Lorraine today, Kaye admitted that she doesn’t what her family there ‘right away.’

‘If they were in the audience, I’d be thinking “Are they okay, are embarrassed, are they bored, are they hungry?”‘

She jokingly added: ‘I make them sound as if they’re children, they’re 20 and nearly 16, but you know what it’s like.’

‘I would have my mum head on,’ Kaye added, with Lorraine quipping: ‘Rather than your gorgeous dancing head on.’

‘I can’t afford to have my mum head on, I’m going to need all of my head for my feet.’

Kaye has two daughters, Charley, 20, and 15-year-old Bonnie with long-term partner Ian Campbell.

This comes after Kaye admitted that she’s looking to a fellow celebrity who has previously starred in the Strictly ballroom as she dusts off her own dancing shoes.

Ann Widdecombe partnered up with Anton Du Beke in 2010, lasting ten weeks on the series.

The former conservative MP couldn’t quite make it to the semi-finals after scoring just 14 out of a possible 40 points during the live shows.

But, as Kaye prepares to jive and cha-cha, she’s looking to Ann to prepare.

The Loose Women panellist revealed: ‘I am watching YouTube videos of Anne Widdecombe every night.

‘I also downloaded a hugely expensive app from a professional dancer based in America to try to teach myself some steps.’

However, Kaye was left feeling ‘very annoyed’ because she thought she was ‘signing up for a free month’s trial.’

The 59-year-old continued: ‘A friend of mine is a choreographer so he is showing me some of the basic steps and also making me disco dance around the room “like no one is watching.”‘

‘He says I have to get used to feeling foolish!’
