Strictly Come Dancing is waltzing back onto our TVs, after a delay due to The Queen’s death.
The 2022 series of marks 20 years of the hit BBC show, but fans never tire of watching a group of celebrities don their dancing gear, shimmy across the ballroom and escape their comfort zone.
This year’s 15-strong line up features newly made-up Countryfile presenter Helen Skelton, singer Fleur East, Paralympian Ellie Simmonds, Loose Women star Kaye Adams and Corrie’s Kym Marsh.
Joining them are 80s pop icon Matt Goss, soap star Will Mellor, radio DJ Tyler West and ex-England captain Tony Adams.
Excited? You’re not alone. But what time is the launch show airing tonight?

What time does Strictly start tonight?
Strictly’s launch show airs at 7pm tonight (Friday, September 23) on BBC One.

Don’t fret if you miss it – as it’ll be available to stream on BBC iPlayer after the show has aired.
More Strictly follows on Saturday, September 24, with the first of the live shows kicking off at 6.45pm and ending at 9.10pm.
Previously, this year’s start date was set for September 17, but the programme was paused temporarily due to the official national mourning period for The Queen.

Compared to recent series affected by Covid-19 restrictions, there is some good news for the 2022 series.
This year’s Strictly Come Dancing will feature a full live studio audience. We also know that the dividers between the four judges will be removed.
Head judge Shirley Ballas is back along with judging panel Motsi Mabuse, Anton Du Beke and Craig Revel Horwood – along with your favourite (and a few new) Strictly professionals.
As always, Strictly will be presented by returning hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman.
