Married At First Sight UK’s Matt Murray and Whitney Hughes share a secret kiss in the trailer for Tuesday’s episode despite being coupled up with different people.

After Metro.co.uk revealed that new relationships will arise in the ever-dramatic E4 series, the pair have been growing closer with Monday’s instalment seeing them have their first one-on-one conversation away from their respective partners, Gemma Rose and Duka Cav.

Matt and Whitney soon take their blossoming connection to the next step though, with a teaser clip revealing them snogging while standing on a bridge in the middle of the woods.

And it looks like their romance will cause even more drama for the group.

During Monday’s episode, Matt’s partner Gemma remained hopeful that she could still work things out with her other half, despite all their bumps in the road so far.

Meanwhile, Duka also expressed his desire to not give up on Whitney.

However, in the instalment’s closing scenes, Matt and Whitney managed to spend some alone time together where they talked about their family situations and being unhappy in their current relationships.

Matt said of Whitney: ‘When I first came in at that first dinner party I thought “f*cking hell, she’s alright”.’

Talking about her rocky romance with Duka, Whitney admitted: ‘I didn’t come here to settle and I think subconsciously I have done. I have minimised myself and shrunk myself for him.’

‘I’m in a very similar position,’ Matt replied, before saying of Gemma: ‘We’re just not each other’s people.’

The pair ended their conversation with a hug, with Matt inviting Whitney to seek him out if she ever feels like she needs someone to talk to.

‘I’m upstairs and in my own company quite a lot of the time at the minute,’ he said.

Speaking to the camera, he added: ‘Spending time around her, there’s definitely a vibe.’

Where does this leave Gemma and Duka and just how will the rest of the group find out?
