Lady Amelia Windsor took to the runway at London Fashion Week one week on from Queen Elizabeth II’s death.

The model is 42nd in line to the throne and a cousin of Prince William and Prince Harry.

She attended the Queen’s state funeral at Westminster Abbey on September 19, following Her Majesty’s death on September 8, aged 96.

Now getting back to work, the 27-year-old environmental activist walked in the Zeynep Kartal x Li & Fung ‘Noblesse Oblige’ runway show, showcasing the spring/summer 2023 collection.

Lady Amelia looked stunning as she strutted confidently down the catwalk in a series of elegant ensembles.

One of her outfits was a baby pink ruffled gown with a thigh-high split, which she paired with towering silver heels.

Following the same colour palette, she also wore a three-piece suit, with her hair styled in a slick ponytail.

Lady Amelia’s showstopper, however, was one of the brand’s signature creations – a green taffeta blouse with dramatic puffy sleeves and flowing train.

She gave the look an edge with a pair of matching shorts, beaming as she clapped while walking alongside the designer.

The bright colours worn by Lady Amelia were a stark contrast to the all-black look she donned for the late monarch’s funeral last week.

As the youngest child of George Windsor, Earl of St Andrews, she attended wearing a sophisticated and modest long sleeve black dress with a V-neck and structured shoulders, with on-trend loafers.

Lady Amelia, whose grandfather is the Duke of Kent, who is the first cousin to the late Queen, is now permitted to wear more vibrant outfits in public following the county’s period of mourning.

The young royal, who is frequently seen at red carpet events and fashion shows, joined the United Kingdom in 10 days of mourning after the Queen’s death was confirmed by Buckingham Palace.

While the poignant funeral – which saw an estimated two million people line the streets to pay their respects – marked the end of the official mourning period, members of the Royal Family are believed to have been in a further six days of ‘royal mourning,’ which concluded on Monday (September 26).

During this time, family members could continue undertaking official engagements appropriate to the circumstances, but they were expected to wear black still.

To mark the official end of the mourning period of Britain’s longest-reigning monarch, a portrait taken of the Queen in her younger years by Dorothy Wilding was released. It was the first official sitting of Her Majesty after she took the throne.

King Charles, Prince William and other members of the Royal family will now return to their duties, with the Prince and Princess of Wales visiting Wales for the first time since taking up their titles.
