Darius Campbell Danesh’s brothers have spoken out for the first time since the Pop Idol star’s death last month.
The singer, who rose to fame on ITV’s Popstars in 2001 and Pop Idol the following year, died on August 11 at the age of 41 in Minnesota.
An autopsy report revealed that Campbell Danesh died as the result of ‘toxic effects of chloroethane’ which had been inhaled, with suffocation also cited to have contributed to his death.
The Southern Minnesota Regional Medical Examiner’s Office ruled that the singer’s death had been accidental.
Now in a poignant Instagram post, the Colourblind singer’s brothers Arias and Cyrus have shared a joint post paying tribute to their late sibling.
They wrote: ‘Brother, We will miss you so much. You were a supernova star, shining light and love to so many. It was the greatest privilege to be your brother for all these years.

‘While your earthly presence has passed, your spirit will forever be with us. We will celebrate and love you, always. Until we meet again, Aria & Cyrus.’
Aria accompanied the post with pictures of the trio taking fun pictures in a photobooth, a photo of them together with Cyrus on his graduation day and one from a boat trip the siblings took.
One image shows the three brothers looking smart in suits on a special occasion.
Aria and Cyrus were flooded with messages of support from the likes of Orlando Bloom, who commented with a heart and rainbow emoji, while Campbell Danesh’s ex-wife Natasha Henstridge wrote: ‘My heart is forever with him… I love you all dearly.’
The late musician’s ex-girlfriend Claire Caudwell is also said to have written: ‘My heart has not stopped hurting since we lost our great love, D. Sending love to you guys and Avril and Boothe.’

Following the results of the autopsy, Danesh Campbell’s family later confirmed the singer was using chloroethane to battle chronic pain from a neck injury sustained from a car crash in 2010.
Sharing the devastating news of his death several days later, his relatives said in a statement: ‘It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Darius Campbell Danesh.
‘Darius was found unresponsive in bed in his apartment room in Rochester, Minnesota, on August 11 and was pronounced dead in the afternoon by the local medical examiners’ office.
‘The local police department have confirmed that there were no signs of intent or suspicious circumstances. The cause of his sudden death is unknown at this stage while medical examinations continue.
‘We ask that you kindly respect our wishes for privacy at this time whilst we come to terms with the tragic loss of our son and brother.’
The TV personality was laid to rest at a private funeral in his native Scotland earlier this month, with close friend Gerard Butler among mourners.
