Harry Styles’s hit song As It Was has only gone and become the longest-running number one on the US singles chart by a British artist.
Released on April 1, the Don’t Worry Darling actor’s track is now spending its 15th week at the top of the list, trumping the record initially held by Sir Elton John and Mark Ronson respectively with Candle In The Wind and Uptown Funk.
It’s also the longest reign for a song by an act with no accompanying artists.
Harry is currently on a mammoth world tour following the release of his third studio, Harry’s House, with performances in Austin, Texas, this week before venturing to Chicago, Illinois, and then California for 15 gigs at the Kia Forum.
He is then set to travel down to Mexico and South America, with a number of Australia and European dates. His tour is scheduled to end in Italy at the end of July.
Meanwhile, fans can also catch a glimpse of him at the cinema as his highly anticipated new film, Don’t Worry Darling, has been released.
Reviews have widely praised lead star Florence Pugh although Harry’s performance is proving more divisive.

Of course, the film was at the centre of a media whirlwind before its opening, what with firing accusations, spit-gate, and rumours of on-set arguments.
Earlier this month, fans were beside themselves after a clip emerged of Harry arriving at the screening of his new film at the Venice Film Festival.
In a short video, he was seen taking his seat beside co-star Chris Pine, but not before appearing to lean over Chris and making a facial expression leading many to believe he was spitting into the actor’s lap. Yes, really.

While Chris quickly shut down the rumours and branded them an ‘online illusion’ Harry admitted he had been quietly laughing about the controversy all along.
During one of his shows at New York City’s Madison Square Garden, the singer took a moment to address the wild fan theories.
Speaking to the audience, he said: ‘This is our 10th show at Madison Square Garden, it is wonderful, wonderful, wonderful to be back in New York.’

He then quipped: ‘I just popped very quickly to Venice to spit on Chris Pine but fear not, we’re back.’
Harry’s amusement came after Chris’ spokesperson released a statement rubbishing the speculation, stating: ‘This is a ridiculous story — a complete fabrication and the result of an odd online illusion that is clearly deceiving and allows for foolish speculation.
‘Just to be clear, Harry Styles did not spit on Chris Pine.’
