Martin Lewis’s new-look podcast will be launching in October
Martin Lewis is set to host a new-look version of his BBC podcast which will address the issues most are facing amid the cost of living crisis.
The TV star, also known as the Money Saving Expert, said in a statement: ‘I love an upgrade, so it’s exciting that the podcast is getting one.
‘Until now it’s been a pod of a live radio show… now it should have the full pod feel! My radio dial is always mainly set to 5 Live, so it’s a privilege to have a show on the station I listen to most.’
He added: ‘I want to ensure we keep the classic 5 Live tone of serious subjects, done without a po-face.’
Martin is set to share his expertise on money management and advice on weathering the issues caused by the cost of living crisis and rising energy bills.
The new BBC Sounds podcast will launch on October 12 and air weekly on Wednesdays, where listeners will get to ask Martin questions and hear his tips and analysis on the current issues in 45 minute episodes.

The popular feature ‘Tell Us’ will be retained, allowing listeners to also discuss their personal finance stories on the show, including the most expensive gift they’ve ever received and the cheapest item they’ve ever returned.
As well as original content recorded for each episode, listeners will also get to hear standout moments with Martin from Nihal Arthanayake’s programme earlier that day.
Heidi Dawson, Controller of BBC Radio 5 Live, said in a statement: ‘Regularly providing money-saving help to 5 Live listeners on air, Martin Lewis is already a friend to the network and our audience.
‘In this timely new podcast commission he will be there with listeners through the cost of living crisis, offering invaluable tips and guidance at a time when it’s needed most.’
The first episode of Martin Lewis’s podcast will be released on October 12 via BBC Sounds.
