Warning: spoilers ahead for episode 7 of She-Hulk.
Marvel show She-Hulk has been filled with Easter Eggs and nods to characters in the comic book universe throughout its run on Disney Plus.
From a reference to Deadpool to the imminent arrival of Matt Murdock’s Daredevil (Charlie Cox), eagle-eyed fans are quick to connect the dots.
In episode 7 of the series, Jennifer Walters (Tatiana Maslany) crosses path with a character that could have a link to the upcoming reboot of Blade, starring Oscar winner Mahershala Ali.
In the latest instalment, Jennifer pays a visit to Emil Blonsky (Tim Roth), who’s been running a retreat ever since his release from jail under the condition that he won’t ever transform into the Abomination – a former foe of Hulk’s – ever again.
While waiting for a tow truck to collect her destroyed car at the retreat, Jen meets several other people benefitting from Emil’s therapy sessions, including a man called Saracen ‘who thinks he’s a vampire’.
In the Marvel comics, a character called Saracen – an ancient vampire – appeared in an October 1999 issue of Blade: Vampire Hunter.
There’s also another character in the Marvel comics called Saracen, a supervillain who was known as an enemy of the Punisher.
However, given the fact that She-Hulk’s Saracen either is or believes he is a vampire, viewers familiar with the character have deduced that he could be tied to the Blade character, ahead of the release of the film starring Mahershala.
Wesley Snipes appeared as vampire hunter Blade in the 1998 film, with Mahershala set to take over the role in an upcoming reboot.

While the movie appears to have hit a snag – after director Bassam Tariq dropped out of the project a year before its scheduled release – anticipation remains extremely high for the debut of the character in the MCU.
So, any nod to Blade in the cinematic universe – which may have just happened in She-Hulk – is bound to excite plenty of people.
‘We are already being referred to about vampires within the MCU. HOLD ON THAT BLADE IS COMING!’ one person tweeted excitedly.
Someone else said that they ‘loved’ how She-Hulk referenced mutants and vampires in the show ‘without any explanations’, making it seem as though they’ve existed ‘since the beginning’.
She-Hulk is available to watch on Disney Plus with new episodes released on Thursdays.
