Chloe Madeley has admitted she still wasn’t sure if she wanted children in the third trimester of her pregnancy.

The fitness guru and her husband James Haskell welcomed their daughter, Bodhi, in August.

Appearing on Friday’s Loose Women, the new parents introduced their first child to the world, in their first TV interview since becoming a mum and dad.

The pair joined hosts Charlene White, Nadia Sawalha, Carol McGiffin, and Sophie Morgan in the studio to talk about the new addition to the family.

Opening up on her uncertainty around having kids, Chloe began: ‘I spent a long time not sure if I wanted children, and I think a lot of women don’t necessarily talk about it.’

She continued: ‘In the third trimester, I was really nervous, like, I hope I’ve made the right decision and I kind of thought that would go away. It didn’t and I was really nervous about it.’

However, as soon as she laid eyes on her daughter, that was all the confirmation she needed that being a parent was for her.

‘As soon as I saw her I just fell madly in love and thought, “This is the best thing I’ve ever done!”‘

Of her Dad, presenter Richard Madelely, who takes Bodhi every for an hour every day, she said their bond is ‘really cute.’

Chloe joked that this gives her a full hour just to shower, which is ‘incredible’ after moving back in with her parents.

The gym fiend explained she’s currently living with her Richard and Judy while they have their own home renovated.

Despite being nervous to ask at first, Chloe said her parents couldn’t have been more delighted.

‘We’re having our house redone and we needed somewhere to live. I tentatively asked mum and dad, “How would you feel if we were to come and stay just for a week?” My mum – because I was heavily pregnant at the time – thought her birthdays and Christmases had all come at once.’

Chloe added that being pregnant brought her much closer to her mum, saying they’ve never had such a ‘strong relationship.’

‘I’ve always been a bit of a daddy’s girl and I feel a bit guilty saying that but it is what it is,’ she added.

Loose Women airs weekdays on ITV.
