Coaches Anne Marie and Will.i.am discussed their own anxiety and experiences with therapy in a candid chat on Saturday night’s show.

Viewers were quick to thank the musicians and the show’s producers for shining a light on the reality of living with a mental illness, with some feeling emotional after the exchange.

‘During the process of making my album, I started doing therapy,’ 2002 hitmaker Anne Marie began.

‘Do you struggle with anxiety?’, Black Eyed Peas member Will asked, to which Anne Marie replied: ‘Yeah, that’s why I went to therapy.’

Anne Marie and Will’s chat came just before a contestant took to the stage, 16-year-old Mila, who discussed her own battle with anxiety with cameras.

The teen delivered a stunning performance of You Can’t Stop The Girl by Bebe Rexha, causing Anne Marie, as well as Sir Tom Jones, and Olly Murs, to turn their chairs.

Anne Marie told the schoolgirl that she could ‘relate’ to her performance ‘a lot’ and she could ‘hear your nerves come through,’ but was adamant Mila had ‘more to give.’

‘I could hear emotion, and that really gets to me,’ she said.

Will also declared her ‘fearless’ for controlling her anxiety will showing off her ‘passion’ for singing.

Ultimately, it was pop star Anne Marie who Mila chose to be her team captain, with Anne Marie promising Mila: ‘I wanna help build you up so you never feel that anxiety when you walk on stage.’
