The icon that is Boy George is heading to Australia for the upcoming series of I’m A Celebrity… Get me Out of Here! in the show’s biggest signing ever.
The Culture Club legend, 61, will be mingling with other stars in the Aussie rainforest after reportedly scooping $1million (£879,000) to take part.
‘It’s beyond exciting that we’ve secured Boy George,’ an insider said.
‘It’s been a long time since we had a huge global star film the show and he will no doubt draw viewers.’
‘He’s also hugely popular in Australia and with the show leaving Wales and heading back down under, he’s the perfect addition,’ they told MailOnline.
I’m A Celebrity is returning to Australia for the first time in three years following the pandemic, with filming kicking off in November.

‘We know it’s a huge coup to land Boy George and we can’t wait for filming to begin,’ the source continued.
‘He is thriving at the moment, he is about to perform with Culture Club at the legendary Austin City Limits in the coming weeks.
‘He’s a national treasure and we have no doubt viewers will make him king of jungle.’

During an appearance on Saturday Night Takeaway earlier this year, George actually told Ant and Dec that he would love to take part in I’m A Celebrity – as long as the show could cater to his dietary requirements.
‘Unless you do a vegan version and then I’m in,’ he told them.
And here we are.
Emmerdale star Danny Miller was crowned King of the Jungle in 2021 when the series spent its second year at Gwyrch Castle, Wales.
Ant and Dec have also been filming a special All Star edition of I’m A Celebrity in South Africa with the likes of Carol Vorderman, Gillian McKeith and Paul Burrell all taking part expected to air in January.
I’m A Celebrity returns to ITV in November.
