Mark Wright was met with familiar faces as he crossed the London Marathon finish line with wife Michelle Keegan and his mother Carol waiting for him on the other side.

The former Towie star was among the 50,000 people taking part in the momentous race across the capital on Sunday.

Love Island winner Greg O’Shea and Strictly Come Dancing contestant Tyler West also took part in the gruelling run.

Mark, 35, revealed he had finished the marathon clocking in at an impressive three hours and 41 minutes.

He was pictured sharing an emotional hug with wife Michelle and planting a kiss on her head before embracing both the Our Girl actress and his mum Carol together.

The family then headed over to a grand room at the Corinthia hotel in central London to celebrate Mark’s achievement with a swanky dinner alongside other relatives and friends.

‘My people. Always there,’ Mark captioned the image featuring the large group sitting around a huge table in the five-star hotel.

Michelle, 35, only recently returned to the UK after spending three months filming her upcoming BBC series Ten Pound Poms in Australia. The couple have been married since 2015 and have just officially moved into their sprawling Essex mansion after undergoing extensive renovations to the property.

Heart Radio presenter Mark previously revealed he had enlisted three-time Marathon winner Paula Radcliffe to help him train for the event.

‘You can’t really beat it, can you? She’s incredible,’ Mark recently told OK!

‘When you’re training for something like this, you always take advice on Google or people you know who have done it, everyone gives you different advice, but I just stuck with her expertise and advice.

‘And of course, it was the best. Because she’s the best of all time.’

Paula had nothing but praise for Mark’s efforts during their training sessions, and said: ‘I think he would say he probably didn’t see himself as a marathon runner in the beginning. He was quicker with the shorter distances and I think coming from football as well, that kind of made that side easier. But he’s probably surprised himself.’
