S Club 7 star Hannah Spearritt has opened up about her living hell after getting breast implants.
Hannah, 41, was in the pop group alongside Rachel Stevens, Bradley McIntosh, Jo O’Meara, Jon Lee, Tina Barrett and her ex-boyfriend Paul Cattermole.
They launched in 1998 and immediately became an overnight sensation, beating Madonna to number one with their debut single Bring It All Back.
However, immediately the women in the group were thrown into the spotlight, being splashed across magazine covers which lead to Hannah struggling with low self-esteem.
In an upcoming documentary for ITV, Hannah opens up about the nightmare which followed her breast augmentation surgery in 2013.
‘We were thrown into all these photoshoots which I never knew would be part of the deal, FHM and all those lads’ mags… It was during this time that things started to grow in my head about how I looked,’ she told The Sun ahead of Hannah Spearritt: Me & Breast Implants.

After the end of a long-term relationship in her early 30s, the singer turned to surgery to ‘fix’ her self-esteem issues.
However, Hannah said she then developed ‘severe anxiety’ and ‘felt like I was dying’ and being ‘slowly poisoned’.
‘But I guess I also knew that I had the implants in, so I did have hope that my body would start healing itself when I got them out – which was the case.’

Hannah had her implants removed but has kept them and will explore why they sparked such extreme mental and physical reactions in the upcoming documentary.
She will also meet other women who have endured similar experiences with breast augmentation surgery and will encourage change in how Breast Implant Illness is treated in the United Kingdom.
If I can help just one person with the documentary, it will all be worth it,’ she said.
Hannah Spearritt: Me & Breast Implants airs on ITV Be.
