Robbie Williams has promised fans that his upcoming Netflix documentary will ‘expose’ every aspect of the entertainer’s life.
The untitled docuseries, which was announced at the Edinburgh TV Festival in August, will follow the Rock DJ icon as he navigates the highs and lows of being in the limelight.
As well as Robbie’s current antics, the programme will feature 25 years’ worth of never-before-seen archive and intimate footage, covering everything from adulation to addiction and professional and personal break-ups.
The streaming giant, which revealed it will launch in 2023, promised viewers it will be an ‘unfiltered, in-depth examination’ of Robbie’s life in the spotlight.
Speaking about his current project, the Angels hitmaker revealed that there will be no restrictions.
‘It’ll be full of sex and drugs and mental illness,’ he said during his chat on New Zealand radio station Newstalk ZB’s The Mike Hosking Breakfast show.

‘No rules,’ he added.
‘I’m more likely than most people to leave everything in, I very rarely, if ever, have said, ‘That’s too much, take it off.’ I normally think that it’s not enough.’
The feature film is being directed by Joe Pearlman, the mastermind behind the successful documentary Bros: After the Screaming Stops.
Meanwhile, Asif Kapadia, best known for his hit films about Amy Winehouse, Ayrton Senna and Diego Maradona, executive produces.

The project could potentially shine a light on Robbie’s relationship with wife Ayda Field, with whom he settled down with in 2006.
Four years later the pair tied the knot and Robbie is still a happily married man with four children, sharing Theodora, 10, Charlton, seven, Coco, three and Beau, two, with Ayda.
The Bodies hitmaker revealed that commitment was a novelty for him after years of being one of pop’s most eligible bachelors, but Ayda had changed his ways.

‘[It’s] amazing for somebody built like me – to put it in vulgar terms – a sh**ger. She gives me everything I want,’ he explained.
He continued to Grazia magazine: ‘I don’t mean sex-wise. My thing in the 90s was sex with strangers, I didn’t know whether I’d be able to give that up. I was saying to her last night, it’s really special that we’re around a lot of really good looking people, all the way through the summer – and I feel no longing to be up to the nefarious stuff.
‘She’s really empathetic, really kind, incredibly smart and very, very funny – and I trust her. The thing with sex with other people is very much like cocaine. I’m not looking for cocaine anymore and therefore I don’t find it.’
