Kaye Adams denies Strictly Come Dancing elimination was due to Scottish heritage following bizarre online attack-Stella Akinwumi-Entertainment – Metro

Strictly Come Dancing’s Kaye Adams put an online troll in their place after they claimed the star was eliminated because she said she was Scottish.

The Loose Women presenter, 59, and professional partner Kai Widdrington, 27, found themselves in the first dreaded dance-off against singer Matt Goss, 54, and Nadiya Bychkova, 33.

Kaye and Kai performed their Charleston to Music! Music! Music! by Dorothy Provine, while Matt and dance partner Nadiya then performed their Samba to Night Fever by the Bee Gees.

However, Sunday marked the end of Kaye’s Strictly journey after judges Motsi Mabuse, Anton Du Beke and Craig Revel Horwood voted to save the Bros star for another week.

While some fans believe journalist Kaye was robbed, one viewer claimed her exit was due to her denying her Scottish heritage.

‘Sadly the 6 million scots never voted for you, maybe it’s because you’re not that good so please don’t say you were put out because you’re “ Scottish,”‘ they tweeted.

I would never dream of saying any such thing , Hugh. As I said last night on live tv , it was the right result . Have a lovely day https://t.co/zWjHNynw2E

Replying to the message, Kaye replied: ‘I would never dream of saying any such thing, Hugh. As I said last night on live tv, it was the right result. Have a lovely day.’

Strictly co-star and comedian Jayde Adams weighed in on the strange claim writing: ‘Another day, another clever woman on TV getting online abuse from men who disappoint frequently.’

Although head judge Shirley Ballas opted to save her, Kaye stressed to presenter Tess Daly that she did ‘make mistakes.’

‘I am delighted for Matt and Nadiya, the only person I am just sorry for is this wonderful man [Kai], who has just been so brilliant,’ she said.

‘It was a hell of a lot of fun, I said my ambition was to learn to love to dance, and actually I have seen a whole new side to myself, it’s opened a little door.’

Dance partner Kai added: ‘Well, you know, only we know how much real hard work has gone into this.

‘There has been lots of ups and downs and we won’t go into them, but this lady is a trooper, and I know what she’s been going through in the week.
