The Overwatch 2 Founders Pack aims to reward returning players with exclusive high-tier cosmetics – but it can only be claimed for a limited time.

The release date of Overwatch 2 is finally here, with only a few hours left before you get to explore the new maps and play with three new heroes. The new version of the game will also bring a bunch of new features, such as Push mode, in a bid to further differentiate itself from the original.

As Overwatch 1 no longer exists, you might feel like you need a small badge of recognition for all the hours and hours of gameplay you’ve put into it. Since Overwatch 2 will adopt a free-to-play format, Blizzard has decided to give a special gift to all players who’ve purchased the original: the Founder’s Pack.

Though the full list of items that will come with the Founder’s Pack hasn’t been revealed yet, you can still see if you qualify to get it, as long as you don’t miss the deadline.

You’ll be eligible for the Founder’s Pack if you owned a copy of Overwatch 1 prior to June 23, 2022 at 7pm BST. So, if you happened to purchase the game past 7pm on that day, we have some bad news for you.

However, if you’ve owned Overwatch 1 for some time now, even if you didn’t play as much, all you need to do to redeem the Founder’s Pack is log into the live game by Tuesday, December 6 at 7:59am GMT.

What does the Overwatch 2 Founder’s Pack include?

The Founder’s Pack will include two epic skins and an exclusive founder’s icon, along with a ‘surprise gift’ that is supposed to be announced before the game’s launch – though it’s still nowhere to be seen at time of writing.

Some players speculate that the surprise gift might simply be access to all the heroes from Overwatch 1, as new players will need to unlock them, but that would be quite underwhelming, considering all the hype.

The two epic tier skins that will be gifted to players are Jester Sombra and General Doomfist. These two skins ought to put you in a dress-up mood, just in time for the upcoming Halloween-themed event Junkenstein’s Revenge: Wrath of the Bride.

Here’s a list of everything that’s known to be included in the Founder’s Pack:

Automatic access to Kiriko, Sojourn and Junker Queen Two epic skins: Jester Sombra and General Doomfist Exclusive founder’s icon A surprise gift

If you’re not eligible for the Founder’s Pack, or you’d simply like some extra goodies, Blizzard has confirmed you can also get a Legendary Kiriko skin for free in the first few weeks of the season.

For the time being, make sure you get a head start by pre-downloading Overwatch 2, as the process will allow you jump in straight away after the game launches worldwide.
