Piers Morgan took the plunge and sat down for an interview with outspoken TikTok influencer Andrew Tate, and it wasn’t long before they were butting heads.
Tate, who appeared on Big Brother in 2016, has been banned from a large number of social media platforms, including TikTok, Facebook and YouTube, for breaching terms of service, including hate speech policies.
The influencer had gained notoriety online in recent months for comments he made about women.
One in particular saw him suggest women ‘bear some responsibility’ if they are assaulted, while he has also spoken about hitting and choking women, stopping them from going out, and destroying their belongings.
Years prior, Tate was removed from the Big Brother house after a video surfaced online appearing to show him attacking a woman with a belt, but he claimed the footage had been edited.
During his interview on Piers Morgan: Uncensored on Tuesday, the presenter questioned Tate about his previous comment that he finds women aged 18 or 19 more attractive than women over 25.

‘That is misogyny,’ Piers stated.
When Tate asked ‘why?’ the broadcaster explained: ‘Because you are encouraging a mindset about 25-year-old women that makes them sound to be infinitely less desirable than 18/19-year-olds and having effectively too much sex to be taken in a more respectful way.’
Tate argued: ‘Firstly, even if that was the case that wouldn’t be misogyny. That’s not misogyny because that’s not anti-women, I’m not saying that an 18 or 19-year-old woman would be more desirable.
‘Anti-25-year-old women we can argue, but not misogyny.’
However, when Piers suggested: ‘Being anti any woman at all is misogyny,’ Tate insisted: ‘Not when I’m saying women are beautiful and attractive at a certain age… Ageist perhaps, but misogynistic absolutely not.’
Piers claimed that Tate’s explanation was him accepting his comment was misogynistic, but the influencer fired back: ‘No I didn’t, you said it was misogyny, I’m telling you no it’s not.’
Tate has been removed from several social media platforms including Facebook and YouTube
The TV presenter then suggested: ‘If a 26-year-old woman is watching this and has heard those comments, would you just say to her, “Look, I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have said that”?’
Tate responded: ‘No, I won’t. I would say that I’m sorry that offends you. However, there’s a large contingent of the world that… I’m not sorry. I’m sorry if that offends you.’
Tension between the two simmered when Piers noted that ‘parts of the world that believe that about 26-year-old women are parts of the world where women are not allowed out on their own’.
‘They have to wear full Burkas. They’re not allowed to drive cars. Is that the kind of world for a woman that you was born in?’ he challenged his guest.
However, Tate stated: ‘I don’t live in a country where that happens. I don’t think it’s fine.
‘You need to understand why my content existed in the first place. My content existed because I tried my very hardest to be an absolute and utter realist, especially with uncomfortable truths.’
Piers Morgan: Uncensored airs weeknights at 8pm on TalkTV.
