Nile Wilson has been announced as the fourth celebrity joining the line-up for Dancing On Ice 2023.
The Olympic gymnast will be in great company as he will compete alongside football legend John Fashanu, Love Island winner Ekin-Su Culculoglu and former EastEnders actress Patsy Palmer.
Announcing the news in a YouTube video, Nile said: ‘I’m going to be on ITV’s Dancing on Ice! This is a really cool thing. I’ve certainly not done much ice-skating but I am so excited for the opportunity.
‘I’m so excited to get into that routine and to feel like an athlete again.’
On what he hopes to bring to the ice, Nile said: ‘My biggest goal on the show is to do something that no one has ever done before!’
Nile revealed he’s expected to start training mid-October when he’ll also meet his professional skating partner.

‘This is completely new news but I’m so excited to get into a routine and feel like an athlete again,’ he added.
The gymnast is feeling pretty confident about his chances already as he added: ‘Obviously I’m in it to win it, you know what I’m like, I’m very competitive…
‘In the next couple of months I’m going to be focused and essentially training for it. Once the show starts in the middle of January, I’ll be uploading tons of vlogs so you can see the process and behind-the-scenes.’
He then warned: ‘I’m not afraid of hardwork.’

However in January 2021, Nile announced he was retiring from sport due to injury.
Fashanu, 60, became the second celebrity announced for the next series.
The former England, Aston Villa and Crystal Palace footballer said: ‘I don’t think it’ll come as a surprise to people that I’m very competitive – I am definitely in it to win it.
‘And this may be one of the scariest things I’ve ever signed up for but I couldn’t be more ready for the challenge!’
Love Island champ Ekin-Su, 28, was later announced but fans were divided about the news, with some thrilled that she’ll be getting her skates on, but others convinced she is too big for the show.
Dancing On Ice will return to ITV in January 2023.
