Charlotte Flair is currently missing from WWE television due to ‘personal reasons’.

The former women’s champion hasn’t been seen on screen for five months after being written off at the beginning of May following an attack from Ronda Rousey, which coincided with her wedding to Andrade El Idolo later that month.

However, she still hasn’t made her return yet, with fans left wondering when the Queen will be back on SmackDown.

According to her husband, who has been pulled from his scheduled AEW Rampage match this week and sent home following an alleged altercation with Sammy Guevara backstage at Dynamite, she’ll be explaining her extended absence very soon in her own words.

He addressed his relationship with Ric Flair’s daughter while speaking to Mas Lucha, and reflecting on whether or not WWE boss Triple H has attempted to bring him back.

He said: ‘He [Triple H] gave me an opportunity and helped me a lot in NXT and I spoke to him when I requested my release. We are on good terms and he always mentioned that I can keep in contact with him.

‘I cannot say that I have contacted him recently, but it is difficult due to legalities. And if he wanted to speak to me, my wife works there, so he can always reach out to me from there too.

‘It is difficult at the same time because Ashley [Charlotte] has time off due to personal reasons and she will specify them in future interviews.

‘It was very heavy because she worked on Thursdays to work on Weekends while I travelled on Tuesdays and returned on Thursdays as soon as she was scheduled to leave. Right now we are good because I get to see her more, I hope she comes back soon.’

Over the weekend, she appeared on the Fox broadcast of WWE’s Most Extreme Moments Countdown on FOX, where she was asked by Kayla Braxton about her next move.

Flair hinted she could go after Bianca Belair and her Raw Women’s Championship, so fans will be excited to see if her return is imminent.
