Warning: spoilers ahead for She-Hulk episode 8.

It should come as no surprise that the cast of She-Hulk was just as excited as the fans to see Charlie Cox back in his Daredevil costume – and from the looks of things behind-the-scenes, he was also having a blast.

On the latest episode of the Marvel series on Disney Plus, Matt Murdock made an epic entrance, taking on Jennifer Walters (Tatiana Maslany) in court before the pair went toe-to-toe in their superhero get-ups.

Following the end of Daredevil’s Netflix series in 2018 and Matt’s brief cameo in the 2021 film Spider-Man: No Way Home, fans have been brimming with excitement to see Daredevil back in action as he formally joins the MCU.

Ahead of his own TV series coming to Disney Plus – which will be called Daredevil: Born Again and see him reunite with Vincent D’Onofrio’s Wilson Fisk – that moment came in She-Hulk episode 8, with the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen proving he’s just as nimble and quick-witted as ever.

In a post shared by She-Hulk star Jameela Jamil on Twitter, she revealed the very moment she and the rest of the cast saw Charlie back in his Daredevil costume, which has been updated with a comic book-accurate yellow and red colour scheme.

In the photo, Charlie is pointing at the camera while wearing a cover over his head to go underneath his helmet, smiling cheerfully.

In her caption, the Titania actor tweeted: ‘FIRST TIME WE SAW CHARLIE BACK IN THE DAREDEVIL COSTUME. WE ALL SCREAMED. HE IS THE BEST.

‘And he and Tat are 💥 this week. #SheHulk.’

In response to a fan’s question, Jameela explained that in the picture, Charlie was ‘warning’ her ‘not to post it til the episode comes out’, before adding: ‘And I didn’t!’

A Twitter account dedicated to Daredevil commented: ‘Thank you so much for this!! You can really tell he was having THE BEST time with you ALL! Love love love!’

Fans continued to shower Charlie with love and praise, as one wrote: ‘He is the best at this role. Like no comparison.’

Meanwhile, someone else thanked Jameela for providing insight on what it was like working on set behind-the-scenes, tweeting: ‘True Queen energy posting these BTS pictures.’

Speaking to Variety about his role in She-Hulk, Charlie explained that he had to ‘adapt’ his portrayal of Matt Murdock so it would be clear ‘he was in a place in his life where he’s having fun’.

‘Where life is good and he’s a bit cheeky and a bit flirty and it’s tonally slightly different,’ he continued.

‘It was a bit of an experiment, but it was really enjoyable, and I really had a good time, and the chemistry I had with Tatiana was amazing.’

She-Hulk is available to watch on Disney Plus with new episodes released on Thursdays.
