The Stranger Things writers have started revealing storylines that got cut – kicking off with a really dark storyline for Will Byers.

In the Stranger Things writers Twitter account, it was confirmed that back in season two a ‘possessed’ Will Byers almost killed Bob, played by Sean Astin.

Spoiler alert: Bob did eventually killed off regardless, being mauled to death by a Demogorgon trying to help Joyce (Winona Ryder) and Will escape a laboratory.

Will was then taken down into the Upside Down and became possessed by the Mind Flayer.

Thankfully, his pals soon realised he was under the Mind Flayer’s control and sedated him so he couldn’t cause any harm ,which is a good job because it sounds like he was on course to go on a huge killing spree.

Stranger Things fans were freaking out over the potential for killer Will:

Millie Bobby Brown and Maya Hawke might have loved that though, considering they have now both admitted Stranger Things has been lacking in big deaths.

She joked that at the Hollywood premiere of season four, there were too many actors still in the show to be able to take a photo on the red carpet.

‘There were like 50 of us,’ she said. ‘I was like, “You need to start killing people off”. The Duffer brothers are two sensitive Sallies that don’t want to kill anyone off.

‘We need to be ‘Game of Thrones.’

Prior to spilling all the Stranger Things axed storylines, the writers recently confirmed work on season five is officially underway with a picture of the first drawing board.

We’ve got a while to go until we’ll see any of the action, with David Harbour suggesting another two years wiol pass before it arrives on Netflix.

The fourth season of Stranger Things became Netflix’s most streamed English-speaking series, trailing behind its biggest success Squid Game.

Stranger Things is available to stream on Netflix.
