Queen Zelina Vega is working towards her long-awaited WWE comeback and she’s putting in the hours.
The inaugural Queen’s Crown winner – who captured the prize at last year’s Crown Jewel event in Saudi Arabia – has been out of action since suffering an injury in May, but has been hyping up a return since the early summer months.
Now, she’s shared an incredible gym selfie flaunted her toned figure and insane abs while branding herself the ‘hardest worker in the room’.
Posing in a red sports bra and matching pants, she hid her face with the word ‘QUEEN’, and made her point loud and clear with an emoji of someone flexing their muscle.
She simply wrote: ‘HWITR’.
AEW’s current TBS Champion Jade Cargil responded saying ‘IKTR’ (‘I know that’s right’), and plenty of fans flooded the post with messages of support for Zelina.
‘OMG you are ripped! I miss seeing you on my TV screen Queen,’ tweeted one admirer, while a second fan added: ‘I miss you wrestling so much Zelina’.
And another follower wrote: ‘Look at those abs! I see you aren’t playing around when you make your return to the ring. I see you being a world champion very soon.’
Zelina has reportedly been out of action with an injury that required surgery – her most recent in-ring appearance was a loss to current Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair back in April – but she has repeatedly hinted fans could be seeing her sooner rather than later.
Zelina returned to WWE in November 2021 just eight months after she was released by the company, and she turned to Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson – who she met on the set of Fighting With My Family about fellow wrestler Paige – for advice.
She exclusively told Metro.co.uk: ‘When I met him, I had no idea that that’s how this relationship was gonna go.
‘We’d meet, become friends, and then the movie. Before coming back – this was like an hour before the show started – I called him because I was so nervous. I was like, “I don’t know how to attack this. What should I do here? How can I perform better in this way?” ‘
