We have so many questions.

The Rings of Power episode 7 recap: Does birth of Mordor mean Sauron is finally coming to fight Galadriel?-Ruth Lawes-Entertainment – Metro

Are we getting closer to evil? (Picture: Prime Video)

After the explosive events of The Rings of Power episode 6, which saw Mount Doom erupt and destroy the Southlands as we know it, the creatures of Middle Earth were left fighting for survival.

Kicking off the latest installment with Galadriel (Morfydd Clark) defiantly staring on as she stands in a storm of red dust, it’s clear the battle with the Dark Lord is not over yet.

The humans and the elves have all been segregated in the explosion, and we see Galadriel and Theo (Tyroe Muhafidin) make their way back to base camp after dodging some orcs.

In a rare moment of emotion, Galadriel opens up about the loved ones she’s lost, including her brother and her husband.

Shedding tears, she explains, much to Theo’s incredulity, they met in a ‘glade of flowers’ while dancing.

Meanwhile, over at Khazad-dûm, Durin (Owain Arthur) locks horns with his father, King Durin III (Peter Mullan), over the mines that are flowing with mystical, life-giving material, Mithril.

Durin defies his father’s order to cease mining operations and pairs up with Elrond (Robert Aramayo) to mine the Mithril, sparking a huge row with his parent, who expels the elf.

Later, Durin is encouraged by his wife Disa (Sophia Nomvete), who explains one day he will rule over the dwarf’s land, slamming his father for ‘staying in the past.’

Elsewhere, the harfoots decide to kindly expel The Stranger (Daniel Weyman) from their camp, who thanks them by growing an abundance of fruit and vegetable.

But some mysterious and, equally tall creatures, who similarly possess powers to influence nature, seem to be on the hunt for him.

As they approach Nori Brandyfoot (Markella Kavenagh), who tries to point them in the direction of The Stranger, they set the harfoot camp alight.

Nori, Poppy Proudfellow (Megan Richards) and a host of other hobbits then vow to leave the hobbit community and find The Stranger.

Over in the Southlands, Queen Miriel (Cynthia Addai-Robinson) has been blinded by the volcanic eruption yet continues to support Galadriel’s war on Sauron, to the dismay of Elendil (Lloyd Owen).

It could be because Elendil’s son Isildur (Maxim Baldry) is nowhere to be seen after he ran off when he realises his friend Ontamo (Anthony Crum) has been killed.

On a happier note, Theo is eventually reunited with his mother Bronwyn (Nazanin Boniadi) and Arondir (Ismael Cruz Córdova), while Halbrand (Charlie Vickers) is revealed as being alive but seeking treatment for a wound.

But while it seems not too many lives have been lost in the aftermath of Mount Doom, Adar (Joseph Mawle) has managed to escape Galadriel’s clutches and is plotting to wreak havoc.

The episode ends with Adar and his army of orcs admiring the ashen Southlands as they announce this new land will be called Mordor.

As we know from The Lord of the Rings, Mordor is the home of Sauron so does this finally mean the Dark Lord is set to make an appearance in The Rings of Power?
