Girls Aloud stars Kimberley Walsh, Nadine Coyle, Nicola Roberts and Cheryl reunited in honour of their late bandmate Sarah Harding while attending the Primrose Ball in London on Saturday evening.

The fundraising ball was organised at Harding’s request before her death, in order to raise money for the Christie NHS Foundation Trust and Cancer Research UK as part of the Sarah Harding Breast Cancer Appeal.

Last September, the singer died at the age of 39 after suffering from breast cancer, having confirmed in August 2020 that the cancer had spread to other parts of her body.

Tributes poured in for Harding following her death, with her mother Marie writing in a statement: ‘I know she won’t want to be remembered for her fight against this terrible disease – she was a bright shining star and I hope that’s how she can be remembered instead.’

Girls Aloud members Walsh, Coyle, Roberts and Cheryl were photographed attending the event together on Saturday night, with Walsh wearing a rust-orange off shoulder satin gown.

Coyle donned a fuchsia gown, while Roberts glistened in gold and Cheryl wore a chic black number.

Other stars in attendance included One Direction singer Liam Payne – who was previously in a relationship with Cheryl and shares a son with her – and presenter Fearne Cotton.

During the evening, Roberts was captured singing passionately in Harding’s honour.

Cheryl was photographed speaking on a podium, after being greeted on stage by Cotton.

Coyle posted a picture of Harding beaming on her Instagram Story ahead of the event, writing: ‘Tonight is the night we celebrate our beautiful Sarah Nicole Harding!!’

Earlier this week, Walsh, Coyle, Roberts and Cheryl posed together in the first picture taken of the four musicians since the death of their bandmate Harding.

The group had the photo taken to raise awareness for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which takes place in October.

To mark the start of the awareness month in the UK, they partnered with Primark for a capsule range of nightwear.

Writing on Instagram, Cheryl said: ‘Before Sarah passed away, we promised her we would fulfil her wish of raising money for vital research to help determine young women between the ages of 29 and 40 who could be at risk of breast cancer with no genetic history. These pyjamas with @primark will raise a significant amount of money to help us achieve our promise to her.’

She added that all of the proceeds raised from sales would be split equally between The Christie Charitable Trust and Cancer Research UK.
