Controversial television host Jeremy Kyle will make his return to the small screen on Monday night with his brand new TalkTV show Jeremy Kyle Live.
After spending the summer covering for Piers Morgan on the network, the presenter, 57, will host his own ‘straight talking’ programme as part of the channel’s new primetime roster.
Ahead of his debut, Kyle has teased what viewers can expect ‘feisty debates’ and plenty of opinion.
‘I’ll be putting plenty of uncomfortable questions to those in power and giving our audience the chance to do exactly the same too,’ Kyle said.
‘So, expect feisty debates each night but also some practical help too as we all navigate our way through this cost-of-living crisis.’
He continued: ‘In my opinion, broadcasters spend many hours a day telling people the news. We want to ask our audience what they think and find out how the real stories are impacting real people.

‘Trust me, you won’t want to miss what my show has to say about all the big stories that matter – every show will be bursting with big opinion.
‘We are in the throes of the worst economic crisis for many, many years. And a lot of people in this country, not just people on Universal Credit and benefits, are struggling and it’s gonna get worse and we have this opportunity to explain things in a clearer way or give constructive advice.’
Kyle also reckons due to the live nature of the show there will likely be some hiccups along the way.
‘Plus, the fact that it’s called Jeremy Kyle Live, means that it probably will go wrong at points, probably a lot! We’ll embrace the pitfalls so it actually feels live. So much today seems perfect and processed.’

Kyle’s return to television comes after his ITV show, The Jeremy Kyle Show, was cancelled in 2019 following the death of guest Steve Dymond.
Dymond, 63, died by suicide seven days after failing a lie-detector test on the programme.
He took a lie-detector test as a means of proving to his fiancée, Jane Callaghan, that he had not been unfaithful to her, but was told he had failed.
Dymond was found dead at his home from an overdose and heart complications, a preliminary hearing was told in 2020.
His final text before his death was revealed in a Channel 4 documentary in March.

It said: ‘I hope the Jeremy Kyle Show is so happy now. They are responsible for what happens now. I hope this makes good ratings for them. I bet they keep this quiet. Never never never did I cheat on you. Never never. My final words.’
The inquiry into his death is set to resume in October 2022 ‘at the earliest’ after it was delayed on ‘compassionate’ grounds after his mother died.
Jeremy Kyle Live launches on Monday 10 October at 7pm on TalkTV.
