Vernon Kay has stunned fans by revealing an enormous back tattoo of ex NFL star Eli Manning and showing it to the man himself – but not everyone’s convinced the inking is real.
The I’m A Celebrity star admitted to Eli, former quarterback for the New York Giants, that he lost a bet in 2012 when he insisted the New England Patriots would win against the Giants.
The Giants beat the Patriots 21-17 and, when asked how that had worked out for him, Vernon, 48, simply lifted up his shirt to show a huge inking of Eli on his back.
During a YouTube video with Vernon, Eli asked: ‘Oh my god! Is that real?’ and rubbed the tattoo which did not budge.
He went on to pose next to the portrait, with Vernon joking that he’s got Patriots legend Tom Brady ‘on the front’.
However, some fans are convinced the tattoo might actually be temporary. Vernon appeared in the 2020 series of I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here, stripping topless to jump in the shower for one memorable moment. At the time, no tattoos could be seen on his back.
The former Family Fortunes host also showed off the inking on Instagram, writing: ‘Finally got to show #elimanning my punishment for betting against him and @nygiants in 2012. Link in bio. He was quite surprised!!’
One fan commented: ‘That can’t be real 😳’ while another added: ‘That can’t be real surely.’

Others were concerned what Tess Daly, who Vernon’s been married to since 2003, thought of the inking.
Recently speaking about how they have raised their two children – 17-year-old Phoebe and 13-year-old Amber – Vernon insisted that, so far, they’re making their children find their own way.
Vernon said: ‘We let them be independent when it comes to their futures because it’s important that you allow them to find themselves, which is character building and personality development.
‘Sometimes I think that the old silver spoon and life on a plate in front of them… I think that’s quite contradictory to how you want them to be.’
